Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

This role will support one or more members of Neros’ leadership team and their respective organizations. This is an opportunity to be the cultural and operational bridge in a fast-moving, mission-oriented environment where you will have a direct impact on the overall efficiency and performance of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key partner and gatekeeper, maximizing the efficiency of the teams and leaders you support
  • Organize, coordinate, and track meetings and schedules across multiple complex calendars
  • Proactively identify and solve operational challenges
  • Handle high-stakes logistics and stakeholder management, ensuring a world-class experience for partners, investors, and both domestic and foreign government officials
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to offload work from the leaders you support
  • Operate with flexibility outside of normal business hours when needed, including support of executives across PST and EST timezones

You should have the following

  • 5 or more years of professional experience supporting C-level executives or equivalent experience
  • Deep sense of professionalism and integrity, especially regarding the handling of sensitive information
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to operate as a trusted proxy for executives
  • Expert proficiency with modern collaboration tools such as Outlook, Slack, and Notion
  • Ability to rapidly iterate, adapt, and ingest new information
  • A strong sense of mission and a desire to have impact at scale
  • US Person with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance if necessary

Nice to have

  • Experience working with or at high growth, venture-backed startups
  • Experience with the defense sector and/or military background
  • Foreign language skills (particularly Japanese, French, and/or Ukrainian)

US Salary Range

$98,000 – $137,500 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.

We’re an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
