Breakdown Services seeking a Controller to be the financial leader of our team.  This position is all-encompassing and diverse.  Not only will you oversee the financial health of the business but you will be asked to research and present owners with opportunities and areas to improve efficiency and profitability.

Duties


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, vendor payments, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting through QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements, general ledger reviews, and trial balances
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, expense tracking, and overall financial performance to support operational decision-making
  • Coordinate with external CPA partners throughout the accounting cycle, including reporting, compliance, and year-end processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide reporting insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Develop, implement, and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and scalable financial processes
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives to align with company growth objectives
  • Assist with operational scaling efforts and cross-functional process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy

Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • CPA certification or additional accounting credentials are a plus
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, and modern accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience in Service Industry, Entertainment Industry a plus

Casting professionals, Talent Representatives and Actors assisting in the coordination of the casting process of Television, Feature Films, Theatre, Commercials, and all other forms of Production since 1971.  We have developed software used in all aspects of the casting process from the role synopsis (Breakdowns) to the audition process.
