Location: Irvine, Camarillo, or San Jose, CA (hybrid)
Job Summary:
The Business Analyst in Operations for a Semiconductor and IoT company plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and aligning business activities with strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, IoT ecosystems, and SAP-based supply chain management, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Process Optimization and Improvement (20%)
- Collaborate with business teams to understand current processes and workflows within the SAP ecosystem.
- Identify areas for process optimization and suggest solutions to improve operational efficiency in supply chain and manufacturing operations.
- Assist in the implementation of SAP enhancements or complementary tools that optimize business operations.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting (40%)
- Collect, analyze, and interpret SAP and supply chain data to generate meaningful business insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools using SAC, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Use statistical techniques & data visualization tools to identify trends & key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create executive-level visualizations that transform complex supply chain data into actionable insights.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)
- Partner with operations, engineering, product management, sales, and supply chain teams to align operational activities with company objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment on SAP-related priorities.
4. Supply Chain Analytics & Market Insights (10%)
- Analyze supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities using SAP data.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in the semiconductor and IoT industries.
- Use insights to recommend operational adjustments that support strategic growth initiatives.
5. Project Management Support (10%)
- Assist in planning and executing projects related to SAP optimization, production scaling, new product introductions, and operational transitions.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget by managing resources and timelines effectively.
6. Compliance and Risk Management (5%)
- Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Identify risks in supply chain or production processes and propose mitigation strategies using SAP data and analytics.
7. Ad-hoc Analysis & Special Projects (5%)
- Support management with ad-hoc analysis and projects related to SAP and supply chain operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in supply chain operations
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain processes including demand planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Track record of delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with supply chain management software (SAP, Kinaxis etc)
- Experience managing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Tableau for creating interactive supply chain dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and technologies for semiconductor industry

- Knowledge of manufacturing bill of material for semiconductor devices
- Familiarity with supply chain dynamics and risks
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication to bridge technical and business discussions.
- Experience presenting findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
Problem-Solving:
- Aptitude for identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
