Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist II supports the financial operations of the company by handling transactional accounting and financial reporting activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data flow
  • Create and process customer invoices, coordinating with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and IT to resolve billing exceptions and system issues
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications
  • Assist with monthly and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and controls
  • Prepare financial and operational reports
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting processes
  • Perform ad hoc requests and analyses as needed

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is an Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $71,500 to $75,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Exposure to cross-functional business operations
  • Familiarity with process improvement practices
