The Contract Surety Bonds Underwriting Manager will analyze bond submissions, assess risks, manage profitability, maintain customer relationships, and lead a team while ensuring compliance with guidelines.

The Senior Business Analyst conducts business analysis, collaborates to document and validate requirements, improves processes, and supports technical implementations and reporting using Guidewire and data visualization tools like Cognos and Tableau.

Owns an Agile delivery team’s product backlog for an underwriting modernization initiative. Partners with business and technology stakeholders to define features and user stories, prioritize work, support roadmap execution, lead Agile ceremonies, resolve risks and dependencies, and deliver measurable business value. Builds stakeholder trust, facilitates alignment, communicates priorities and outcomes, and develops product leadership capabilities. Insurance, financial services, technology, operations, or business analysis experience is preferred.

Assists with analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models for insurance underwriting, pricing, claims, and retention, and building data pipelines and automated reporting. Collaborates with actuarial, underwriting, claims, product, and data engineering teams to solve business problems. Communicates insights through visualization and data storytelling, monitors model performance and data quality, and explores new data sources and modeling techniques while supporting insurance model governance.

Investigate and adjust high-exposure California workers' compensation claims: analyze coverage and compensability, set reserves, negotiate settlements, prepare large-loss reports, coordinate with defense counsel and vendors, attend settlements and occasional in-person claim reviews. Remote office work on Pacific Time with occasional overnight travel.

Serve as the front-line underwriter and Marketing Account Executive for workers' compensation accounts in a defined territory. Manage new business submissions and renewals, gather data, present accounts and strategy to Underwriting, cultivate relationships with independent agents and internal Account Executives, and drive profitable growth and high retention. Frequent travel required.

Provide entry-level support for workers' compensation claims: set up and process claims, respond to inquiries, verify coverage, document activity, use claim management systems, escalate complex issues, and support team projects while working remotely on Pacific Time.
