Investigates and manages complex California workers’ compensation claims from coverage and liability evaluation through resolution. Responsibilities include analyzing documentation, negotiating settlements and reserves, attending legal proceedings, communicating claim decisions, ensuring timely payments and regulatory compliance, advising lower-level staff, and potentially coaching or supervising employees. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and generally 6–10 years of California workers’ compensation claims-handling experience.

Processes complex insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, billing updates, and policy documentation. Enters and validates data, resolves discrepancies, prepares reports, answers premium and billing inquiries, and improves operational efficiency. May coach staff, support talent decisions, and provide guidance to lower-level employees and other functional areas while ensuring compliance with insurance policies and regulations.
