Zenoss gets software contract for the U.S. Air Force

On Wednesday, Zenoss announced that they received the multisite software contract for the U.S. Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, which produces military intelligence. Under the contract, Zenoss will provide IT monitoring and analytics services as well as software and services for extensibility and integration with key technologies including Cisco, VMware, EMC and Windows. World First announces partnership with e-commerce marketplace

The Austin-based international payments company World First will provide exchange services in 140 currencies and 45 countries for Rakuten.com sellers. With the partnership, Rakuten.com merchants will be able to sell on the marketplace and work with World First to open a U.S. receiving account, which will help transfer funds back to merchants' domestic currencies. Austin technology advocate named 2017 Texan of the Year

The Texas Legislative Conference has named Pike Powers the 2017 Texan of the Year. Powers, known for his pioneering efforts in Austin's technology industry, is the long-time managing partner at Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP). His influence helped drive the moves of MCC, 3M, Sematech and Applied Materials to Austin, plus AMD's and Samsung's expansions and research operations. Latest alcohol delivery service launches in Austin

GoBooze's alcohol delivery services went live in Austin this Tuesday, offering beer and wine deliveries seven days a week. The company, owned by goPuff, joins the likes of Drizly, Lash, Couch Potato ATX and Delivery.com. GoBooze, however, is the first company in town that will replace sending a courier to a store with centrally located warehouses stocked with booze. Silicon Labs wins Wins GSA’s Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company

For the second consecutive year, Silicon Labs was voted Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company by the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). Each year, 275 GSA member companies vote for semiconductor companies at various revenue levels based on best products, profitability, vision and future opportunities.
