Robin Games launched its first game. Mobile game developer Robin Games released PLAYHOUSE, a mobile lifestyle game that lets users decorate rooms using 3D models of real-life furniture. Subject offers video-first content to high schools. The Latinx-founded edtech company connects high school students across the nation to video-first, for-credit courses in more than 60 subjects. Its solution is currently active in more than 100 schools as it works to make school both engaging and rigorous for a Gen Z audience. Having secured more than $34 million in funding to date, Subject is gearing up for its third school year. [Built In LA]
VIAVIA pulled in $8M. The company operates a video-first shopping platform for luxury fashion and provides retailers with AI-powered tech infrastructure. Its consumer-facing solution is geared toward Gen Z shoppers and works to modernize the fashion e-commerce space. Backed by New Enterprise Associates and Basis Set Ventures, VIAVIA is bringing its solution to Italian luxury brands. [Built In LA]
ChildNEXUS was featured in Built In’s Future 5 series. The platform features written and audio resources for parents of children with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health conditions. ChildNEXUS has a network of about 90 youth health service providers across various specialties who can help determine a child’s next best steps.
