Los Angeles tech companies pulled in a range of small funding rounds last week, while others grew their business with acquisitions and other developments. Read on to find out what’s new in Tinseltown tech. This is the Built In LA Weekly Refresh.

PayEngine pulled in $10M. Offering a solution to help companies monetize their revenue, PayEngine raised Series A funding to grow its platform. The company provides businesses with an alternative solution to third-party payments management. PayEngine plans on growing its financial product offerings, furthering clientele access, bolstering its international support and growing its team with the new funding. [Built In LA]

ElephantDrive got acquired. ElephantDrive’s cloud storage solution for photos, videos and documents will become part of Texas-based Jungle Disk. The company provides companies with data security tools for backup and cloud storage, and it’s now expanding into the market for families and individuals with its latest acquisition. [Built In LA]

CropSafe raised $3M. Developed in Ireland and headquartered in Santa Monica, agtech startup CropSafe secured a round of seed funding for its field monitoring solution. The startup helps farmers keep an eye on conditions that may harm their crops, like inclement weather or pests, and alerts them ahead of time so they can prepare. Its funding will help expand its U.S. presence and double the size of its six-person team. [Built In LA]

BuildOps secured $43M. The company created a platform to provide commercial contractors with a centralized place to manage all their operations. Serving industries like HVAC, plumbing and fire safety, the BuildOps team is working to grow its solution that helps digitize contractors’ workflows. It’s currently hiring new talent across customer success, engineering, product and sales. [Built In LA]

Obsesh was built by athletes to fuel athletes. The company developed a web-based platform to connect young competitive athletes to one-on-one coaching and mentorship from professional, Olympic and elite athletes. Its growing network of pro athletes currently stands at around 300. In addition to helping younger athletes grow their skills, the platform helps pros secure their futures with supplemental income. [Built In LA]

Fyxt secured $4M. With its Series A funding round, commercial real estate software solution Fyxt is expanding its reach and growing its team. The solution digitizes communication between property managers, net-lease tenants and service providers. Fyxt plans to bring on new talent across its product, design and software engineering teams. Mythical Games partnered with the NFL. Mythical Games has teamed up with the NFL and the NFL Players Association to launchi a new video game built on blockchain technology. This new production, called NFL Rivals, allows the player to act as a team general manager, pitting their virtual teams up against those of other general managers.
