Looking fresh: Interior design startup Hutch closes $10M Series A

West Hollywood-based Hutch, formerly known as Homee, kicked off Wednesday with the news the company had closed a $10 million Series A, led by real estate tech giant Zillow Group. The funding will allow the team to accelerate product development and continue to grow the company's home design app.

The round comes almost exactly a year after the company announced a $5 million investment, which included a contribution from Tinder's Sean Rad. With today's funding, Zillow Group's CEO Spencer Rascoff will join Rad on Hutch's board of directors.

"We are very excited to be working with Zillow Group as the company has been empowering home shoppers and renters with innovative technology for more than a decade," said Beatrice Fischel-Bock, CEO and co-founder of Hutch, in a statement. "Spencer's extensive knowledge of consumers, technology and real estate make him a natural fit for our board and look forward to his input as we continue to rapidly grow and scale our business."

In February, the company rebranded from Homee and launched its proprietary interior design app, which allows users change the way they conceptualize and furnish their abode.
