The Vice President, Product Marketing is responsible for defining the marketing objectives and goals for multiple product lines within a business unit or portion thereof, providing executive oversight to the work performed by one or more teams under their direction. This strategic leader has proven ability to produce major business outcomes across multiple product lines.
This position requires a strong command of the market the products compete in, is considered an expert on market trends, can analyze the problems our competitors are solving and use this to inform our product strategy.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Strategic
     

    • Act as a key influencer of product and corporate strategy at the executive level.

    • Manage a portfolio of multiple product lines to deliver results in accordance with the corporate vision and product strategy.

    • Influence the divisional strategy related to go-to-market approach, such as where and how does this fit within a larger value proposition and how do we ensure this is presented accordingly.

    • Support sales efforts with portfolio-level expertise.

    • Ensure roadmap in-market timing is met for all initiatives across multiple product line roadmaps.

    • Determine adjusted strategies for go-to-market initiatives with significant complexity or where multi-stakeholder buy-in is needed to launch products to market, in partnership with product management.

    • Oversee the go to market alignment at the divisional level in terms of products being presented cohesively against a divisional value proposition in market.

    • Evaluate multiple paths forward in problem solving or identifying opportunity and determines best use of time, resources and overall fit within a larger BU/Divisional strategy.

  • Leadership
     

    • Regularly establish strategic team specific OKRs and evaluate/prioritize initiatives to achieve those outcomes.

    • Develop direct reports through goal setting and monthly coaching; act as a role model.

    • Ensure open and effective communication down through all levels of the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in business, marketing or a related discipline required 

  • 10+ years 15+ years’ related work experience, preferably marketing financial or technical services for manufacturers or retailers, with significant experience leading teams; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position required

  • Strong experience in online advertising or social media marketing required

  • Proven track record for delivering high-quality presentation materials

  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate large-scale concepts

  • Proven record of approaching the day-to- day with both a product and client mindset

  • Highly proficient with software programs including, Microsoft Office and Google suites
