MeUndies is a Los Angeles, CA-based underwear and loungewear company best known for its softer-than-soft basics. Founded in 2011, MeUndies disrupted the $110B underwear industry with the first online underwear subscription. Since then, the brand has inspired a passionate community of undie-obsessed individuals with its bold, comfortable products. And that’s only the beginning…

We’re looking for a VP, Growth & Retention to help lead this next chapter. This is a highly visible, high-impact leadership role for a growth operator who thrives in founder-led environments, loves getting into the data, and knows how to turn insight into execution. You’ll own acquisition, lifecycle, retention, and membership performance — working closely with the Founder and executive team to scale the business with rigor, creativity, and speed.

If you’re excited by ownership, accountability, and building the next phase of a category-defining brand, this role is for you.

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 3 days/week in our Los Angeles office

What You'll Do

Own Profitable Growth
  • Lead and scale paid acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, Affiliates, Partnerships, and emerging channels.
  • Own CAC, CPA, LTV, and payback performance, balancing growth, efficiency, and long-term brand value.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Analytics to forecast growth, model ROI, and drive disciplined investment decisions.
  • Identify and scale new growth levers while reducing channel concentration risk.
Build a World-Class Membership & Retention Engine
  • Own the end-to-end membership strategy, from acquisition and onboarding to engagement, retention, and reactivation.
  • Lead lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and on-site personalization to drive frequency, AOV, and LTV.
  • Continuously optimize onboarding, welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, and churn-prevention drips.
  • Design promotional strategies that maximize impact during high-intent periods while protecting long-term customer value and reducing promo fatigue.
Drive Segmentation, Personalization & Conversion
  • Build and evolve customer segmentation models using behavioral, transactional, and engagement data.
  • Apply segmentation to acquisition, lifecycle messaging, offers, and onsite experiences.
  • Own landing page optimization, CRO, and email/SMS capture across PDPs, PLPs, checkout, and campaign-specific pages.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to reduce friction and improve conversion across the funnel.
Lead with Data & Experimentation
  • Translate large, complex datasets into clear actions and decisions.
  • Own experimentation frameworks including A/B testing, cohort analysis, attribution, and incrementality.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that align marketing performance with business outcomes, not vanity metrics.
Operate Cross-Functionally in a Founder-Led Environment
  • Partner closely with the Founder and executive team to translate vision into execution.
  • Work seamlessly with Brand, Creative, Product, Merchandising, Analytics, and Finance to align growth strategy with storytelling, launches, and customer experience.
  • Help coordinate integrated growth moments across acquisition, lifecycle, and onsite — without owning brand, PR, or experiential execution.
  • Drive internal teams and external partners with clarity, urgency, and accountability.
Build & Lead a High-Performing Team
  • Lead and mentor Growth, Performance Marketing, and Lifecycle teams.
  • Set a high bar for ownership, rigor, and hands-on execution.
  • Build a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Create scalable growth systems, processes, and decision frameworks to support the company’s next stage of scale.

What You Have

  • 10+ years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or DTC leadership roles.
  • Proven success in owning acquisition, retention, and revenue outcomes at scale.
  • Deep understanding of CAC/LTV, CPA management, payback periods, and marketing ROI.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort working directly in data.
  • Experience building lifecycle programs, segmentation models, and CRO strategies.
  • Proven ability to thrive in founder-led or owner-operated companies with high accountability and direct feedback.
  • Collaborative, low-ego leader who moves fast, communicates clearly, and gets things done.
  • Apparel, subscription, or membership business experience a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 -$225,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the base salary range provided in this posting does not include any bonus, equity, or benefits you may be eligible for.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
