Respondology is seeking a visionary, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead our next chapter of growth and scale. Partnering closely with our Head of Revenue and executive team, you’ll own the full marketing engine–content, demand generation, analytics, brand, pipeline, messaging, and the systems that fuel them. You’ll define the strategy, build the machine, and ensure we’re telling a bold, consistent story in the market.

We’ve built a strong foundation. Now we’re looking for a VP who knows how to turn momentum into acceleration. This role is perfect for a leader who can operate at altitude and isn’t afraid to dive into the work when it matters. If shaping category perception, building predictable pipeline, and leading a high-performing team sounds like your version of fun… we should talk.

Respondology is the AI-powered social comments company for moderating unwanted content, surfacing insights, and engaging at any scale. Fast to deploy. Easy to use. Trusted by hundreds of leading brands to optimize their organic and paid social performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a company-wide marketing strategy that drives predictable pipeline, accelerates revenue, and strengthens our position in the market.
  • Lead brand strategy, storytelling, and product positioning to clearly define Respondology’s voice and differentiation.
  • Oversee multi-channel demand generation (ABM, digital, events, partners) and ensure campaigns convert all the way through the funnel.
  • Build and mature scalable marketing systems, processes, and analytics to measure performance, impact, and ROI.
  • Partner closely with Sales to align GTM motions, forecast pipeline, and optimize lead flow, conversion, and revenue velocity.
  • Guide content, communications, and thought leadership that inform, inspire, and engage prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with Product on go-to-market plans, feature launches, and competitive positioning.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performance marketing team — creating clarity, elevating quality, and amplifying impact.
  • Influence company-wide strategy as a key member of the leadership team, ensuring marketing insights inform roadmap, messaging, and customer engagement.

Here’s what you need to get our attention

  • 8-10+ years of progressive B2B SaaS marketing experience, including 4–6 years leading teams.
  • Proven success guiding a SaaS company through major ARR milestones ($5M → $20M+). Start-up experience required.
  • Deep expertise in demand generation, GTM strategy, and pipeline accountability.
  • Mastery of brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling across multiple audiences and channels.
  • Strong analytical instincts with a track record of tying marketing performance directly to revenue outcomes.
  • Experience building a marketing function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Here’s what will make us call you for sure

  • A builder’s mindset — you’ve created scalable programs, systems, and frameworks from the ground up.
  • A hands-on operator who’s comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed.
  • Known for collaboration and high EQ–you elevate cross-functional partnerships, not just attend them.
  • Direct experience in fast-scaling SaaS organizations, ideally in marketing, social, or AI-driven technology spaces.
  • A healthy obsession with clarity, creativity, and results.

How We Take Care of Our People

  • A values-led culture built on collaboration, innovation, and trust
  • 100% remote employment within the US or Canada — or join us in Boulder, CO
  • Flexible work arrangements, Flex PTO, and generous holidays including a reduced schedule between Christmas and New Year’s
  • Comprehensive benefits including generous family leave, life insurance, and supplemental insurance options
  • Matching traditional and Roth 401(k), fully vested from day one

Come as you are. Your background, your beliefs, your pet projects, your playlist — none of those should hold you back from applying. If you’re great at what you do and want to be part of something that’s making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
