What You’re Applying For:

Edmunds is looking for a vehicle coordinator to be an integral member of our 40-person editorial team. The right candidate will be trustworthy, unbiased, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The vehicle coordinator role is primarily on-site most days of the week and must work closely with the video, written, and testing teams on vehicle and testing needs. Our ideal candidate can work quickly under pressure and be flexible when juggling assignments. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the largest and most forward-thinking editorial teams in the automotive world.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the written, video and social teams as they create content for Edmunds’ owned channels.
  • Coordinate test days and video days at the Edmunds test track
  • Coordinate and communicate weekly Edmunds test track needs to all parties
  • Operate and maintain instrumented testing equipment
  • Manage data collection and interpret data for vehicle testing and content creation
  • Manage test vehicle logistics, including deliveries, returns and internal documentation needed to facilitate content generation
  • Perform basic safety checks, such as adjusting tire pressures, torquing lug nuts and checking oil
  • Track the service needs of the one-year test fleet and coordinate their completion with team members responsible for each vehicle
  • Work with one-year test fleet vehicle coordinators to provide insight for content creation
  • Schedule test vehicle loans from vendors and vehicle manufacturers as needed
  • Write and create vehicle content for the Edmunds site or Edmunds-owned channels, when applicable
  • Help manage onsite office and facilities needs

What You Need:

  • Automotive knowledge, a passion for cars
  • Some experience writing and/or content creation.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Great organization habits and multitasking skills, ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and think proactively
  • Personal reliability and integrity; Your colleagues know they can rely on you in every respect; you model this trait in all that you do
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Enthusiasm: an ability to juggle multiple projects and kick-start initiatives in a busy work environment is a must
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel and Google Docs and Sheets
  • Experience with VBOX data loggers is a plus
  • Must be able to lift, carry or move objects up to 55 lbs
  • Ability to spend time in the field and drive regularly

The compensation range for this position is $58,000 - $67,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
