ROLE OVERVIEW

Dermalogica is seeking a US Creative Director to drive our regional creative efforts. This role sits at the intersection of strategic vision and hands-on execution and is responsible for translating global brand direction into culturally resonant, professional-grade creative for the US market. The ideal candidate brings expertise in brand storytelling, creative production and team leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Creative Leadership

  • Define and champion a distinct US creative vision aligned with Dermalogica's global brand strategy and professional-grade positioning.
  • Partner with senior marketing, brand, and commercial stakeholders to shape campaign strategy from brief through final delivery.
  • Translate business objectives into compelling, insight-driven creative platforms that resonate across consumer and professional audiences.
  • Act as the creative authority for the US market, ensuring consistency, quality, and brand integrity across all touchpoints.

Creative Concept Development

  • Lead ideation and development of breakthrough creative concepts for campaigns, product launches, seasonal moments, and always-on content.
  • Present and articulate creative concepts persuasively to internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Build and maintain a strong portfolio of concept work that demonstrates range, strategic thinking, and measurable creative impact.

Creative Production Ownership

  • Own end-to-end creative production across channels including digital, print, social and e-commerce from concept to final asset delivery.
  • Manage production timelines, budgets, and external vendor/agency relationships to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
  • Establish and maintain scalable production workflows and quality standards to support a high volume of creative output.

Team Leadership & Global Adaptation

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of creatives, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee the regional adaptation of global campaign assets, ensuring US market relevance while preserving brand integrity and global alignment.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance creative culture grounded in skin health expertise and professional craft.
  • Serve as the primary creative liaison between the US market and global brand teams, advocating for regional needs within the global framework.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of progressive creative experience within a brand, agency, or in-house creative studio, with demonstrated growth into leadership.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering strategic creative concepts across digital, social, and omnichannel environments.
  • Experience owning full creative production cycles, including vendor management, budget oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a creative team in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse creative executions, concept-to-delivery examples, and regional or market-specific adaptation work.
  • Experience in beauty, wellness, or consumer health preferred; understanding of professional-grade or DTC brand positioning a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to champion creative ideas at all levels of the organization.

This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA with applicable hybrid in-office work guidelines.

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000.The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
