Who You Are
As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling interfaces across our web and mobile platforms. You’ll blend visual design, interaction design, and user experience strategy to create products that are both beautiful and easy to use.
As an early member of the design team, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the design process— from early concepts and research to high-fidelity prototypes and developer handoff. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and company leadership to translate user needs into a cohesive and user-centered experience that drives real impact.
What You'll Do
- Design clean and modern user interfaces that are easy and enjoyable to use and elevate the Rhombus product.
- Lead user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate design decisions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex problems into simple, user-friendly flows by creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished designs in Figma.
- Build and maintain our design system, ensuring visual consistency, usability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with developers, providing detailed design specifications, assets, and support ensuring a smooth handoff to bring designs to life.
- Prioritize accessibility and inclusive design, incorporating usability best practices and guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong design acumen demonstrating the ability to create intuitive interfaces, solve UX problems, and apply visual design principles.
- Advanced Figma skills including, but not limited to, components, auto layout, and prototyping tools.
- Experience with design systems and user-centered design processes
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills to explain design choices to stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS), motion design, and/or accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
Location
This is a hybrid position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 2-3 days per week as needed.
Work Authorization
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation
$110,000 – $140,000
Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include discretionary performance bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
