The Saturn team is on a mission to build community around the calendar. UX/UI design is a key function that steers the future UX of the Saturn application and how it interfaces with Snapchat. Designers work closely with our leaders and cross-functional partners to create a comprehensive roadmap that delights our community.

We’re looking for a Designer to join our team!

What you’ll do:

  • Conceptualize, design, and prototype innovative new features for our mobile applications

  • Understand user needs and continuously improve upon existing features in concert with leadership, Product Management, Data Science, Engineering and User Research

  • Own the user experience for features end-end

  • Assist with all parts of the design and development process from initial research and brainstorming, to visual design, to engineering hand off, to polish and delivery

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Outstanding visual design skills

  • Knowledge and passion for interaction design and design systems

  • Ability to prototype interactive mobile experiences 

  • Ability to think about high level product strategy connecting strategy to design

  • Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to use a data-informed approach to compliment design thinking

  • A growth mindset and willingness to consistently push the limits to grow the overall business

  • A strong desire to build for the long term, valuing patterns and structures that allow for flexibility in an evolving product

Minimum qualifications:

  • BS / BA degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years of relevant mobile Product Design experience

  • 3+ years experience using design tools such as Figma

  • A strong portfolio with past examples of mobile and consumer technology products

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $118,000-$176,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $112,000-$167,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
