Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer (Associate-Level 2) for Automated Systems Testing to join our team in Sylmar, California.

As a Test & Evaluation Engineer, you design, develop, integrate, and execute automated test systems for verification, validation, and production test programs in aerospace, defense, and industrial environments. You combine hands-on software development and hardware development with test planning, data analysis, and close collaboration with systems engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Spectrolab's factory is located in the north side of Los Angeles, offering access to the city's world-class culture, dining, and entertainment. The Sylmar location provides convenient "reverse commute" options for people living across the San Fernando Valley-from Sherman Oaks to Pasadena-as well as straightforward commutes from Santa Clarita and other northern Los Angeles County areas.
Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and document standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
• Support development of test systems
• Improve test systems according to lessons learned
• Build data processing tools and algorithms
• Develop calibration procedures and software
• Support debriefing of the test team
• Support analysis, processing, and formatting of data to customer requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Willing and able to work 2nd shift and weekends if needed

• Experience programming in LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, C/C++, MATLAB, and related experience
• Hardware and software integration experience
• Troubleshooting experience in software-hardware integration and electro-mechanical systems
• Test systems design experience
• Software validation experience
• Experience using electronic test equipment, test instrumentation, or data acquisition hardware such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and source meters
• Experience with version control (Git), continuous integration for test software, and ticketing systems (JIRA)
• Experience with other automated test frameworks
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries, and knowledge of relevant standards
• Experience with environmental test chambers, vibration testing, shock testing, and thermal cycling

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $90,950 - $123,050
