Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

We're looking for a Supply Chain Planner to own our demand & supply planning process as we scale drone production. You'll run monthly cross-functional Sales & Operations reviews, weekly clear-to-build sessions, and work directly with sourcing and manufacturing teams to ensure our supply chain moves at startup speed. This role requires hands-on experience managing demand forecasting, planned order execution, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly Sales & Operations Demand and Supply Reviews with cross-functional teams including BD/Contracts, Planning, Production, and Engineering to align forecasts and secure spend approvals
  • Own weekly clear-to-build sessions with Purchasing across Air, Ground, and Kits/Accessories product lines to maintain procurement velocity and prevent supply bottlenecks
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Sourcing to ensure accurate MBOM releases, maintain master data for new parts, and optimize make-versus-buy decisions
  • Drive demand forecasting accuracy and planned order releases while identifying supply chain risks 6+ months out to support rapid production scaling
  • Manage supply planning for products from low rate initial production through full rate production, ensuring supply chain readiness supports startup growth without traditional bureaucratic delays

You should have the following

  • 5+ years supply chain planning experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments with cross-functional team leadership and procurement decision-making authority
  • Hands-on experience running demand/supply review processes, clear-to-build sessions, and managing procurement from forecasting through order release
  • Comprehensive understanding of MBOM management, make-versus-buy analysis, and direct experience working closely with engineering teams on bill of materials accuracy
  • Proven track record managing supply chain scaling from low-rate initial production through high-volume manufacturing in fast-growth companies
  • Experience with master data management including supplier qualification, lead time analysis, and tiered pricing structures for complex assemblies
  • Strong background in demand forecasting, risk identification, and supply chain planning in industries with long lead times and complex supply chains
  • Ability to work effectively in startup environments with lightweight processes while maintaining accuracy and accountability for procurement spend
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field, or equivalent supply chain experience

Nice to have

  • Defense industry experience with ITAR compliance, DPAS-rated contracts, and supply chain security requirements for sensitive manufacturing programs
  • Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms for demand planning and supply management in manufacturing environments
  • Background in aerospace, robotics, or electro-mechanical assembly supply chains with complex multi-level BOMs and long-lead specialty components
  • Previous startup or high-growth company experience managing supply chain through rapid scaling phases and organizational changes
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience with process optimization and waste reduction in production environments

US Salary Range

$80,000 - $160,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.

We’re an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
