Job Summary: 

The Supply Chain Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining supply chain compliance programs that ensure supplier and procurement activities comply with applicable regulatory, contractual, quality, and company requirements. This role oversees supplier qualification, onboarding, procurement compliance, supplier risk management, approved supplier processes, procurement documentation, and supply chain policies to ensure a compliant, efficient, and scalable supply chain.  This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for leading compliance activities and cross-functional initiatives; it does not include direct people management responsibilities. 

The Supply Chain Compliance Manager partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Legal, Information Security, and Finance to strengthen supplier compliance programs, improve procurement processes, reduce supplier risk, and support company growth. 

Reports to the Director, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management. 


Responsibilities:   

Supplier Compliance & Qualification 

  • Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, verification, and ongoing maintenance of supplier records.  
  • Own and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL), supplier qualification templates, supplier documentation, and supplier lifecycle processes.  
  • Evaluate supplier compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and company requirements including:  
  • FAR/DFARS procurement requirements  
  • ITAR  
  • CMMC supplier readiness  
  • SAM registration  
  • Quality requirements  
  • Monitor supplier certifications, registrations, and required compliance documentation to ensure continued qualification.  

Supplier Risk & Performance 

  • Conduct supplier compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify regulatory, operational, financial, quality, and delivery risks.  
  • Develop supplier risk mitigation plans in partnership with Category Management, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Operations.  
  • Manage supplier performance scorecards, compliance metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Support supplier business reviews by providing supplier compliance and performance data.  

Procurement Compliance 

  • Develop and maintain procurement compliance processes supporting direct material sourcing activities.  
  • Ensure procurement transactions comply with company purchasing policies and approved sourcing procedures.  
  • Review and maintain standard Purchase Order Terms & Conditions, quality clauses, shipping requirements, and procurement language.  
  • Support compliance of procurement documentation throughout the purchasing lifecycle.  

Supplier Agreements & Documentation 

  • Coordinate execution, maintenance, and renewal of subcontract agreements supporting procurement activities.  
  • Facilitate Supplier Quality Agreements and maintain required supplier documentation.  
  • Maintain supplier templates, onboarding documentation, supplier questionnaires, and procurement compliance forms.  

Supply Chain Policies & Procedures 

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Supply Chain policies, procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance through automation, standardization, and process simplification.  
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement scalable procurement compliance processes.  

Supplier Systems & Data Management 

  • Serve as business owner for supplier compliance data within procurement systems.  
  • Maintain supplier compliance information within ERP, supplier portals, and procurement systems.  
  • Ensure supplier compliance documentation is accurate, current, secure, and readily available for internal reviews.  

Supplier Compliance Programs 

  • Develop and manage supplier compliance programs addressing:  
  • Supplier qualification  
  • Procurement compliance  
  • Direct material compliance  
  • Supplier regulatory compliance  
  • Supplier quality compliance  
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor program effectiveness and supplier compliance trends.  

Supplier Engagement & Training 

  • Train internal stakeholders on supplier onboarding, procurement compliance, supplier qualification, and purchasing policies.  
  • Provide guidance to suppliers regarding compliance expectations, onboarding requirements, procurement documentation, and supplier performance expectations.  
  • Foster collaborative supplier relationships while maintaining compliance standards.  

Proposal Support 

  • Support proposal activities by providing supplier compliance information, approved supplier data, sourcing inputs, and procurement compliance documentation.  
  • Assist in evaluating supplier readiness and compliance considerations during proposal development.  

Continuous Improvement 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on supplier compliance, procurement efficiency, automation, and supplier performance.  
  • Analyze compliance trends and implement corrective and preventive actions to strengthen supply chain processes.  

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Review and approve supplier compliance documentation and procurement records.  
  • Maintain supplier compliance dashboards, metrics, and reporting.  
  • Support internal procurement compliance reviews and supplier assessments.  
  • Coordinate supplier corrective action activities resulting from supplier compliance issues.  
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while enforcing company compliance requirements.  
  • Mentor procurement personnel on supplier compliance best practices and procurement procedures.  
  • Support implementation of new supplier management tools, supplier portals, and procurement technologies.  

 

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.  
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years experience with a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Procurement Compliance, Supplier Management, Contracts or Strategic Sourcing.  
  • Working knowledge of:  
  • FAR/DFARS procurement requirements  
  • ITAR  
  • CMMC supplier requirements  
  • Supplier qualification processes  
  • ERP systems and supplier management platforms  
  • Experience developing supply chain policies, supplier qualification programs, procurement procedures, and supplier compliance processes.  
  • Strong understanding of supplier risk management, procurement documentation, and supplier performance management.  
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.  
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.  
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in ambiguous environments while balancing compliance, operational efficiency, and business objectives. 
  • Direct experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Oracle Fusion a big plus.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. 
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$127,700$162,800 USD
