Your Role

The Strategy Associate Manager, Amazon Marketplace will play a critical role one of O Positiv’s highest growth sales channels. This person will be responsible for growth analytics, performance optimization, and insight generation that will help O Positiv drive rapid profitable growth on Amazon. This position will lead activities around strategic analysis, product launch strategy, new growth initiatives and tools testing. This role reports directly to the Amazon Strategy Director and will work cross-functionally with multiple teams at O Positiv. The ideal candidate will be analytical, structured, organized, self-motivated, an effective communicator, collaborative, and excited to be at the center of growth and operations for a rapidly growing sales channel. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Performance analysis: Analyze Amazon advertising performance, identify root causes of outperformance / underperformance, and help generate ideas on how to improve efficiency 
  • Growth management: Support initiatives to continuously grow the Amazon channel by testing new ideas, generating creative solutions, and managing different work streams with our third-party ad agency 
  • Product launch strategy: Help support O Positiv’s new product launch strategy on Amazon by researching the competitive landscape, determining ad strategy, and providing input into launch copy and creative assets
  • Strategic initiatives testing: Test different strategic initiatives spanning across the full Amazon advertising suite (PPC, DSP) and Amazon Marketing Cloud and assess their performance by turning large data sets into actionable insights 
  • Forecasting: Support Amazon demand and financial forecasting to provide accurate projections for demand and the Amazon P&L
  • New tool identification: Explore new tools, software, and capabilities and keep up to date on Amazon best practices to ensure continued discovery of new insights
  • Internal leadership meetings: Help support internal leadership performance review meetings by creating materials and insights based on zero defect and high-quality reporting and analysis that help drive insights and action

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
    • 3-5 years of management consulting, investment banking, or a large CPG or a startup in analytical role
    • Excellent business intuition and ability to understand / solve complex problems
    • Strong analytical skills in Excel 
    • Strong interest in women’s health is a major plus
  • Interpersonal:
    • Structured and data-driven with ability to frame and solve complex problems individually and with others
    • Ability to manage multiple moving pieces – hard working, organized, and results-oriented individual
    • Strong communication skills: listen, reflect, and proactively learn 
    • Strong time management and prioritization skills
    • Highly trustworthy, honest, and ethical individual that thrives in building high trust supportive environments

Hours and Compensation

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $100,000 – $140,000/year. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rates.

  • Position based in our office in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, CA (Mon-Thu in office and Fridays remote)
