THE WORK:

We are looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join the Product Design team to help shape the future Ripple products and user experiences. You will collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to lead research to inform the design and development of innovative products. You will have an exciting opportunity to dive deeply into the user base by solving challenging and ambiguous problems and unlocking value that builds and maintains trust in Ripple and the broader blockchain industry. You are independent, self-motivated, thorough, and can work efficiently. You advocate for our users and are motivated to work with teams to connect with them closely and deliver actionable insights.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Perform discovery, concept validation, and evaluative research (e.g., 1:1 interviews, prototype testing, usability, surveys) in an agile way, influence the product roadmap that drives business impact
  • Partner closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other team members to plan and gather insights, ensuring team engagement and collaboration throughout the research process
  • Communicate research insights and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways; tailoring insights to suit the audience, varying levels of detail and complexity as appropriate/required
  • Develop and evolve buyer/user personas and journey maps to help align cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions
  • Facilitate workshops to surface internal hypotheses, increase knowledge sharing, and spread user empathy
  • Stay updated with research trends, practices, agile techniques, and tools

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 8+ years of experience performing UX research for technology or fin-tech products
  • Quickly understand the root of the business questions at hand and apply research techniques, frameworks, agile methods, etc.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; can independently manage multiple studies at a time
  • Mastery in moderating in-person and remote interviews and can quickly produce actionable insights
  • A storyteller who can deliver the “why” behind customer needs and behavior, and engages cross-functional teams and diverse audiences in an impactful way
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a bias toward execution and agility
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain trusting relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; values over-communication while collaborating in different time zones
  • Experienced in presenting research to various audiences, including leadership team and at team offsites
  • Flexible and agile problem solver who can pivot quickly and anticipate changes in an evolving technology environment
  • BA/BS in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is considered an advantage

For positions that will be based in NY, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. 

NY Annual Base Salary Range

$168,000$190,000 USD
