About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Staff UX Researcher to join our growing research team. As the second team member, you’ll be instrumental in elevating the impact of UX research across the organization. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional partners to drive research throughout the product life cycle to strategically impact both company and product direction. Your focus will be to provide actionable insights to shape experiences for beauty and wellness business users and their customers. This role will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in our New York City office (Tuesdays & Thursdays).

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify  high-impact user research that address both user behavior and attitudes 
  • Design and execute end-to-end primary research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods 
  • Generate insight and provide input into company and product strategy
  • Communicate results and socialize recommendations in compelling and creative ways
  • Represent the needs of our users and prospective users and ensure the products we ship bring meaningful value to both the end users and the business
  • Build and nurture partnerships with product managers, designers, analysts and engineers 
  • Manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a diverse group of stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 7+ years experience with UX Research and/or applied research
  • Experience conducting in-depth Interviews or focus groups and concept testing or usability testing
  • Experience with survey design and applying statistical analysis methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously, and cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
  • Proven experience in translating research findings into strategic narratives and influencing product roadmaps in a way that impacts the business 
  • Solid understanding of common qualitative and quantitative research methods, and when and how to use mixed methods
  • Experience working directly with product teams (primarily Product Design and Product Management)
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting to groups, creating compelling stories from user data, and building relationships across interdisciplinary stakeholders

The starting base salary for this role in New York is between $200,000-$240,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
