Northrop Grumman is looking for a Systems Engineer - Integration and Test to support our Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department on the EGI-M program based out of Woodland Hills, California. As a member of the SEIT department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and verification of tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization studies on various system components.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
- Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
- This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Woodland Hills, CA.
Basic Qualifications for Staff DO-229 Systems Engineer (I&T) Lead:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of DO-229D Appendix R.
- Knowledge of DO-178C development process.
- Knowledge of TSO/MSO-C145.
- Working Knowledge of Test Automation/Simulation for GPS Integrity Verification and Validation.
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Staff DO-229 Systems Engineer (I&T) Lead:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Working knowledge of Spirent or other GPS testing equipment.
