Performs month-end close activities, prepares journal entries and financial reports, reconciles balance sheet and intercompany accounts, maintains general ledger structures, and supports audit and state and local tax reporting. The role also ensures compliance with accounting standards, coordinates with Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, and updates FloQast close checklists and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as needed
Accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure material conformity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or another accounting standard where appropriate
Compliance
- Assist Brand Controller & Corporate Assistant Controller with year-end audit reporting
- Assist Director of Tax with preparation of state and local tax filings and tax reporting
Transactional Accounting and Other
- Complete month-end closing process in accordance with the finance close calendar
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, amortization schedules, prepaid and accrued expenses, etc.
- Reconcile intercompany balances across divisions and sub-divisions
- Work with Accounts Payable and Receivable departments to ensure accuracy of transactional accounting
- Maintain general ledger accounts and financial statement reporting structure.
- Update FloQast close checklists and reconciliations as part of the month-end close process
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
- CPA a plus
- Knowledge of entertainment industry
- Experience with SAP and/or Xytech

Education:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent field required.
