Meet the Team

Cisco Networking is transforming how customers operate increasingly complex, distributed infrastructure in the AI era. Our product marketing organization connects Cisco’s technology innovation with the real-world priorities of network operators, IT leaders, partners, and customers.

We work across product management, engineering, sales, customer experience, communications, and field marketing to turn technical capabilities into differentiated stories, practical use cases, and successful go-to-market programs. The team is highly collaborative, technically curious, and focused on helping customers understand not only what Cisco is building, but how it improves their day-to-day operations and business outcomes.

Your Impact

As the Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager for AI and AgenticOps, you will be the critical bridge connecting Cisco’s AgenticOps and AI Canvas strategy to the day-to-day realities of modern network operations. Leveraging hands-on practitioner expertise across CLI, Cisco Catalyst Center, cloud-managed dashboards, and observability platforms, you will translate complex AI capabilities into technically credible technical positioning, build compelling demonstrations and dashboards, and create real-world use cases. In this role, you will define how customers, partners, and industry analysts understand the transition from traditional network management to governed, agent-powered operations—establishing Cisco as the undisputed authority in AI-driven networking while serving as a trusted technical advisor across our Workplace Networking teams.

Key Impact Areas & Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Technical Demos & Collateral: Build and deliver technically rigorous product demonstrations, solution guides, white papers, and technical videos, that illustrate how Cisco AI operates seamlessly across networking, security, and observability environments. The key success factor is an understanding of networking operations team’s day to day job, combined with the ability to build dashboards with Cisco products that illustrate value to the user.
  • Technical Strategy & Value Positioning: Define the technical product marketing strategy for Cisco AgenticOps and AI Canvas, translating complex architectural capabilities into clear, differentiated narratives and practitioner-focused use cases (such as automated troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and cross-domain remediation).
  • Product & Engineering Validation: Partner directly with product management and engineering to validate product claims, ground launch narratives in technical evidence, and ensure outward messaging accurately reflects roadmap realities and customer proof points.
  • Global Field & Partner Enablement: Equip sales teams, channel partners, and technical advocates with battlecards, competitive differentiation, discovery frameworks, and role-based conversation guides to accelerate enterprise adoption and pipeline growth.
  • Market Evangelism & Technical Thought Leadership: Serve as a primary technical spokesperson for AgenticOps at Cisco Live, analyst briefings, webinars, and customer executive forums, while actively channeling direct practitioner feedback back into product strategy.
  • Competitive Intelligence & Performance Metrics: Monitor competing AI-ops and network management solutions to sharpen Cisco's competitive edge and measure technical marketing impact through content engagement, field adoption, and market perception.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-domain networking architectures such as Campus, Data Center, Cloud or similar and operational workflows using enterprise management observability tools such as Splunk, Meraki or similar.
  • Experience translating complex software architectures and AI capabilities into compelling technical messaging, practitioner use cases, white papers, and/or interactive demonstrations.
  • Experience with building network and security related dashboards, specifically using ThousandEyes, Splunk, and/or other observability products.
  • Technical presentation skills across network practitioners, enterprise customers, industry analysts, and/or executive leadership.
  • Experience driving technical marketing initiatives across matrixed product management, engineering, and/or go-to-market teams.
  • Bachelors and 8+ years of related experience, or Masters and 6+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience telling the Networking Product Story through demonstrations to customers in presales situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop practitioner-level use cases and connect them to executive outcomes such as operational efficiency, resilience, risk reduction, and workforce productivity.
  • Ability to form well-supported perspectives, influence without direct authority, and operate effectively in a rapidly evolving market.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
