Position Summary: We are looking for a Sr. Sales Strategy Specialist to perform sales forecasting and business planning. This role leverages data and business intelligence to guide decision-making, optimize trade investments, and enhance customer engagement. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain sales forecasts at brand, customer, and channel levels; monitor performance against plan and highlight risks/opportunities.
Support annual and quarterly sales planning processes, aligning customer strategies with brand and financial objectives.
Develop and automate reporting dashboards (using Excel, Power BI or similar BI tools) to monitor sales performance, pricing, and promotion ROI.
Conduct syndicated data analysis (Nielsen, IRI, Circana, Madrid, etc.) and retailer POS reporting to identify trends and business opportunities.
Support Sales Strategy Manager to translate insights into actionable sales programs and trade strategies.
Evaluate trade promotion effectiveness and provide recommendations for improved ROI.
Prepare data-driven customer presentations and selling stories that influence retailer decisions.
Deliver competitive, category, and marketplace insights to support go-to-market strategies.
Requirements:
4–6 years of relevant professional experience
Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
Background in Sales and/or Marketing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, etc.)
The base salary for this position is between $75,000.00 and $95,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
