Thank you for considering Progyny!

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong technical foundation to drive platform and product development across high-impact areas. You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of new and existing products — from ideation and architecture through delivery and iteration. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, data science, and crossfunctional stakeholders to shape the product vision and translate complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions. Healthcare experience is a plus, but technical depth is essential.

What You’ll Do...

  • Define and execute technical product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with engineering and business leadership.
  • Translate platform vision into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and technical use cases.
  • Partner with engineering to evaluate solution architecture trade-offs, define system interactions, and ensure feasibility and scalability.
  • Lead discovery through structured hypothesis-driven experimentation and data validation.
  • Drive platform modernization and technical integration efforts (APIs, microservices, data pipelines, etc.).
  • Ensure delivery of features via agile methodologies, owning the backlog and sprint planning as product owner.
  • Own KPIs and success metrics tied to adoption, performance, and business outcomes.
  • Review and assurance of delivery outcomes against defined requirements
  • Support incident / return to service post-mortems and stakeholder communication efforts on resolution and future roadmap implications

About You...

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B or B2B2C SaaS or platforms.
  • Strong technical background – prior experience as an engineer, systems architect, or CS degree preferred.
  • Deep experience with APIs, backend services, system architecture, and technical product trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated success building 0→1 products or platforms with rapid iteration and experimentation.
  • Experience with data products, analytics tools, and event-based architectures is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable driving execution in complex environments with multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of product discovery: customer research, opportunity sizing, market and tech landscape analysis.
  • Hands-on experience as a Product Owner on scrum teams, leading agile ceremonies and prioritization.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart, Productboard or similar tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Looker, PowerBI, or other analytics platforms.
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare, health tech platforms, claims or EMR/EHR systems.

Please note: Progyny is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
