Job SummaryPlans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power. Broad range of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, defense, intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance markets. ***Onsite at our San Diego (Otay Mesa) location. - Designs and develops new brushed and multiphase brushless DC electric motors.
- Performs design experiments related to motor designs and develops test methods, from concept to planning and execution stage.
- Conducts motor performance predictions by analyses of actual data and through the development of design related algorithms in addition to the existing methods.
- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience
- Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
