Boot Barn is seeking a Senior Manager, Design (Print & Digital) to lead the execution and delivery of creative across all channels. This role is responsible for ensuring that all design work—across print, digital, in-store, and experiential touchpoints—is produced on brand, on time, and at a consistently high level of quality.

As a key partner to Marketing and creative leadership, this role translates creative vision into clear, actionable direction for the design team and ensures successful execution across a high volume of deliverables. You will oversee day-to-day workflow, guide designers through challenges, and create the structure needed to deliver cohesive, effective creative at scale. This role oversees the full design team, including direct management of designers and leadership of a Digital Design Manager and their team. Success in this role comes from balancing strong creative judgment with operational excellence, ensuring the work is not only visually compelling, but also accurate, efficient, and production-ready.

You will play a critical role in maintaining and reinforcing the integrity of both the Boot Barn brand and our portfolio of exclusive brands, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints while adapting creative to meet the needs of different channels, campaigns, and audiences.

A strong foundation in print production, packaging, and real-world execution is essential. This role serves as a key partner in bringing marketing initiatives and event concepts to life, helping define what assets are needed, how they should be produced, and ensuring they are executed in a way that is both on-brand and operationally sound.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of designers, fostering accountability, growth, and high-quality output
  • Oversee project intake, prioritization, and workflow to ensure all creative is delivered on time and aligned with business priorities
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards across all deliverables
  • Act as a bridge between creative vision and execution, ensuring concepts are translated into effective, production-ready assets
  • Review and approve creative work across all channels, maintaining a high bar for quality and attention to detail
  • Uphold and execute brand standards for both Boot Barn and its exclusive brands, ensuring consistency while supporting campaign and channel needs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in print production, packaging, and file preparation, ensuring all assets are built correctly and optimized for output
  • Partner with Marketing, E-commerce, Merchandising, and Events teams to support campaigns, initiatives, and activations
  • Collaborate with the Events team to translate concepts into actionable creative deliverables and provide guidance on materials, formats, and production needs
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, communication, and scalability across the design team
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of experience in graphic design across multiple channels, including print and digital
  • 4+ years of experience leading or managing designers, including managing senior-level talent or managers
  • Strong understanding of brand systems and how to maintain consistency across a wide range of applications
  • Deep knowledge of print production, packaging, and vendor collaboration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred

 

Plus Factors – Preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge or interest in the western or action sports lifestyles.
  • Experience with Adobe Premier, Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, 3DS Max
  • Illustration experience
  • Interest in AI software and/or prompting
  • Working knowledge of HTML

PAY RANGE: $120,000.00-$140,000.00/yr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
