About the role

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join us as we bring next-generation connectivity to our customers across the country. You’ll be handling invoices, working closely with customers and assisting in month-end closing processes.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Finance Organization, you’ll help to assist in generating and sending invoices, using various ERP systems, monitoring customer accounts and more. All areas of the finance organization will rely on you for the timely processing of invoices and reconciliations. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:

  • Generate and send accurate customer invoices/statements in a timely manner using various ERP systems, specifically QUICKBOOKS, SAGE and JDE and customer portals
  • Process annual CPI escalations and prepare communications and reconciliations for MNO and Fiber customers based on existing and new agreements.
  • Allocate cash received via various forms on a daily basis
  • Monitor customer accounts within ERP to ensure timely collections of outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams to address customer billing inquiries and enhance the overall billing process.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes for accounts receivable, including AR reconciliations, ageing and other reporting and closing processes within ERP.
  • Support the finance team or sales team as needed for any ad hoc projects or analysis.

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Business/Accounting

Work Experience: AR Specialist in a high-volume environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel with strong data entry skills

  • Demonstrated ability to use excel to investigate and reconcile discrepancies

Personal Skills:

  • Strong to prioritize and multi-task, meeting deadlines consistently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to accuracy and detail, with excellent follow-up skills
  • Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to learn and take on new opportunities with the organization as they arise.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  • Perform under pressure with a positive attitude. Be a team player!
