The Sports Coordinator will coach, organize, and oversee sports programs, manage schedules, and maintain positive relationships with participants, coaches, and volunteers.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Sports Coordinator to help coach, lead and oversee multiple programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both youth and adults, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to creating a positive, well-structured sports experience for all participants at Shepherd Sports.
The Ideal Candidate
- Is an energetic leader who can confidently coach, organize, and communicate across a wide range of programs
- Equally comfortable leading on the field or court and managing logistics behind the scenes
- This person values teamwork, maintains strong relationships with staff and volunteers, and demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism
- A heart for mentorship and the ability to lead group devotionals
- Willing to work a flexible schedule that involves evenings and weekend hours on a regular basis
- Is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding program standards while fostering a fun, safe, and encouraging environment
Position Details
- Non-exempt, full-time role
- Flexible schedule required (weekdays, evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide coaches, volunteers, and participants
- Experience working in an office or church ministry environment is a plus.
- Strong computer and organizational skills including managing schedules, rosters, stats, and standings
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
