This position is part of the Talent Technology and Operations team focused on designing reliable processes with integrated insights that create a consistent employee experience at scale.  In this role, the Solutions Design Manager, Talent Systems will specialize on definition problem statements, gathering business requirements and partnering cross functional to identify impacts and interdependencies. Before any technology solution is deployed or changed, they obsess over the problem, define the personas, and map out the future-state human workflow.

This is an individual contributor manager role ideally based out of one of our US based offices in Los Gatos, Los Angeles, New York, or Seattle. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand the holistic business, organizational and talent context / needs, and help shape the roadmap with the Talent strategy.  

  • Design global solutions: deliver and maintain a holistic infrastructure roadmap (including processes, tools, and systems) across the Talent Lifecycle, in close partnership with Global Business Practices

  • Partner with HR COEs and SMEs to continuously improving the Employee  Lifecycle, regularly review workflows and make recommendations for improvements, that delivers reliable data for organizational insights

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to inform the strategic direction, backlog decisions, and roadmap for the HR Systems

  • Lead project workstreams and teams aligned to strategic goals with ownership over the outcomes, decisions, and stakeholder alignment. 

  • Partners with Talent Data & Analytics, Security and Legal to understand the implications of process or tooling decisions, including governance, compliance and risk assessments

  •  Identify how changes to individual components influence system-wide behavior, dependencies, and emergent outcomes over time, and maintain consistent feedback loops with stakeholders 

Ideal candidate expected to have:

  • 7+ years of HR Operations experience, with at least 5 years of proven experience designing global workflows involving HR Systems (e.g. ATS, HRIS) with a focus on integrating multiple lines of business and maintaining data governance

  • Experience leading continuous improvement for the end to end business solutions across the employee lifecycle (recruiting, comp, l&d, employee lifecycle management, org design, ect), product management or solution engineering experience is a value add

  • Experience with Workday HCM and ATS is required, and some adjacent experience systems such as Compensation, Employee Surveys, AI, Ticket Management, and Talent Management tools are nice to have.

  • Experience partnering with product and engineering teams to inform strategic decision making, backlog prioritization and solution directly, familiar with agile and design thinking methodologies

  • Global Stakeholder Relationships Management experience, driving alignment, managing competing needs, and navigating dynamics. 

  • Strong ability to communicate and synthesize findings that impact strategic direction, share recommendations, and create action plans.

  • Strong business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, high judgment, critical thinking, and analysis.


Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $225,000.00 - $360,000.00.
