Solutions Architect, GRC (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

Could you be our next Solutions Architect, GRC? Globe Life is looking for a Solutions Architect, GRC to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for owning the configuration, optimization, and day-to-day management of our GRC platform.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, Texas (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

What You Will Do:

Technical Implementation Support

• Lead end-to-end implementation of complex platform solutions across multiple technology platforms.
• Lead walkthroughs of GRC solutions with business stakeholders to review out-of-box functionality and identify configuration needs.
• Drive requirements workshops and translate complex business needs into user stories or technical specifications, including changes to forms, navigation, workflow, access control, integrations, etc.
• Architect scalable configurations, data models, and workflow designs.
• Create and review functional and/or technical design documents including configuration guides, workflow diagrams, integration details, data migration, etc.
• Configure advanced GRC solutions including forms, questionnaires, calculations, workflows, reports, dashboards, access control, and integrations.
• Assist with the design and implementation of AI-powered intelligent workflows and/or agents to automate key risk and compliance processes.
• Design and oversee web service integration strategies between GRC platforms and enterprise systems.
• Lead UAT planning and execution, ensuring solutions meet acceptance criteria.
• Oversee deployment to production and data migration activities.
• Establish and enforce configuration standards and best practices.
• Design and implement compliance automation solutions including automated evidence gathering, continuous compliance monitoring, etc.
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams within larger programs.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional coordination with stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource estimates for platform initiatives.
• Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables for platform initiatives.
• Communicate technical concepts and project status to non-technical stakeholders.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

• Resolve complex platform issues; performs root-cause analysis and implements long-term fixes.
• Provide ongoing support and clarification for implemented GRC solutions, acting as the primary subject matter expert.
• Lead platform upgrade planning and execution.
• Conduct business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and drive recommendations for improvement.
• Review and analyze change requests for potential enterprise-wide impact.
• Implement and test change requests; lead coordination with business to deploy changes following change management and release processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of risk and compliance data and documentation within the platform.
• Lead internal and external audit support by maintaining organized, audit-ready evidence within the GRC platform.
• Analyze platform performance, data quality, and user adoption metrics to recommend optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain platform governance documentation and standards.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Stay up-to-date with GRC platform product releases and evolving GRC industry trends.
• Lead change management activities for significant platform changes.
• Provide training, documentation, and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective platform use.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholder teams on platform capabilities and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the GRC platform strategy and roadmap.

What You Can Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Business or related field.
• GRC Platform Specific Entry Level Certifications (e.g., Archer Certified Associate, etc.)
• 8+ years in Software Development, Information Security, Privacy and/or GRC related role.
• 4+ years of experience configuring at least one GRC platform (Archer, Resolver, Wolters Kluwer, or similar).
• Industry Certifications (e.g., GRCP, CRISC, etc.) (preferred).
• GRC Platform Specific Specialist Level Certifications (e.g., Archer Certified Administrator - Specialist, etc.) (preferred).
• Insurance or financial services industry experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GRC concepts (e.g., laws/regulations, controls, policies, etc.) and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX).
• Experience working on two or more GRC programs (e.g., policy mgmt., compliance mgmt., vendor risk mgmt., etc.).
• Deep expertise configuring at least one GRC platform (e.g., Archer, Resolver, Wolters Kluwer, or similar).
• Experience designing and implementing API/system integrations.
• Advanced SQL, scripting languages, reporting and data modeling skills.
• Ability to lead workshops, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus.
• Strong program management and organizational skills.
• Extensive vendor management and control negotiation experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
