Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance the efficiency and reliability of existing softwares, ensuring optimal performance under varying loads and conditions to deliver a seamless user experience. Independently design and execute performance test strategies, develop and maintain testing tools, frameworks, and work closely with development teams to identify, resolve performance issues and publish Capacity planning artifacts for in-flight product releases. Provide guidance through code and design reviews for features delivered by developers and contribute to architecture design discussions and planning with Development. Design and run extensive overhead, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry-standard benchmarks and custom-developed software written in Java. Master the Salesforce development process, culture and code base to improve it and master SaaS clouds requirements (e.g. underlying Techstack, business usage, implementation). Create end-to-end, cross cloud, integration automation (API & UI) with complex orgs, organize and drive cross-product testing. Review automation implementations and encourage sound design principles while remaining practical & milestone-driven. Participate in Test Design Review Board for integration test plans within and across clouds with focus on functional, business, complex scenarios, high impact projects, performance and scale. Provide accurate scoping for Performance testing, establish clear priorities, strategies, and milestones. Collaborate with customers to understand real-life usage and advocate for enhancements and monitor product feature-level quality health metrics for maintaining performance 360 and contribute to product innovation through Hackathons. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) LoadRunner; (2) Jmeter; (3) Splunk; (4) APM Monitoring; (5) Oracle DB; (6) VisualVM; (7) Linux; (8) MongoDB; (9) AWS,GCP; and (10) Java. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Salary: $206,315.00 - $236,500.00 per annum.
