Position Summary  

The Software Engineer II (Full Stack) is responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions across both frontend and backend systems. This role works closely with product managers, architects, quality engineers, and fellow developers to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable applications while contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who takes ownership of assigned work, collaborates effectively with teammates, and delivers high-quality software with minimal supervision. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Angular, C#, and .NET. 

  • Build, enhance, and support REST APIs, GraphQL APIs and backend services. 

  • Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern Angular and TypeScript. 

  • Design and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and integrations using SQL Server/PostgreSQL. 

  • Integrate third-party systems and APIs while ensuring secure and reliable data exchange. 

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives. 

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows established coding standards and best practices. 

  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with peers to improve software quality and maintainability. 

  • Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. 

  • Support production applications and participate in resolving operational issues when needed. 

  • Continuously improve technical skills and stay current with evolving technologies and development practices.

Work Environment 

This position performs its duties from the Orange, CA office. The role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and related technology. 


Physical Requirements 

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer and multiple screens; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.   


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours worked are dependent on business needs and workload. General availability during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, is expected. Based on the candidate and /or position, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered; however, a minimum of three (3) or more days per week in the office is required to support executive collaboration, leadership presence, and cross-functional engagement. Some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.   

  

Travel 

There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat.  Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned. 


Salary Range 

The salary range is $110,000-$130,000 annually. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience. 

  • Strong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET technologies. 

  • Strong experience building web applications using Angular and TypeScript. 

  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. 

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL Server. 

  • Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Key Vault. 

  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or JWT. 

  • Experience in branching, pull request reviews, work item management, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps. 

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices. 

  • Experience with Git and modern source control workflows. 

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, reliability, and follow-through on commitments. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Restful and GraphQL APIs. 

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Experience writing automated tests and supporting quality engineering practices. 

  • Experience working on SaaS or cloud-native applications. 

  • Familiarity with Docker or containerization technologies. 

  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
