The Order Orchestration team is responsible for managing the end-to-end order workflow across all sales channels, supporting key Retail Wireless initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and delivery leadership for order orchestration features supporting the Boost brand.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery and ensure smooth coordination across systems and functional partners, including fraud, payments, shipping, and provisioning.
- Drive execution of critical order lifecycle capabilities while supporting architectural planning and alignment with broader Retail Wireless systems.
- Manage staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and career development for tech leads and engineers to promote high performance and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners to align technical delivery with business objectives and ensure code quality, test coverage, and reliable production deployments.
- Maintain delivery velocity, stakeholder visibility, and operational efficiency through agile practices.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience in engineering management role
- Experience leading teams of 10+ engineers in high-scale, complex environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong background in software engineering, with experience in enterprise-scale systems, backend orchestration patterns, and order management systems.
- Proven ability to lead medium-to-large engineering teams, with a focus on hiring, building, and developing high-performing, accountable teams.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers and tech leads while balancing technical debt, feature delivery, and long-term architectural needs.
- Demonstrated project management, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align engineering efforts to broader business goals and drive execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data modeling, event-driven architecture, and system integrations
- Experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable software delivery
- Understanding of telecom retail wireless domain concepts such as provisioning, activation, billing, and fraud prevention
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices
