Software Development Engineer III wanted by American Express Global Business Travel, Egencia in Bellevue, WA.

• Designing, developing, debugging and modifying components of software applications and tools
• Proposing improvements in design and processes and translating requirements into code
• Developing web tools and backend micro-services using multiple languages and frameworks including Java, React, Spring, and Kotlin
• Providing improvements to software solutions for a given problem and resolving problems and roadblocks as they occur
• Completing development documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software applications and tools
• Actively participating in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others
• Working collaboratively with all members of technical staff and collaborating with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills.

• Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Java using OOP design practices in a digital e-commerce oriented industry including utilizing Junit and similar test frameworks while implementing and sustaining CI/CD practices using Git
• Three (3) years of full-stack development experience using Javascript and React, including conceptualizing and implementing an application from the foundational persistence layer, through business logic and user interaction layers
• Three (3) years of experience with AWS cloud-based infrastructure, implementing and operating micro-services using industry grade dev-ops methodologies and practices, including utilizing core AWS technologies EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis and Kubernetes
• Two (2) years of experience with Spring-based applications using RESTful apis and other Spring modules to integrate with other applications and data stores. 

May work from home within commuting distance from the Bellevue, WA office. Salary range $137,259-$203,000. #LI-DNI
