About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Social Media Manager to lead our digital presence and engagement strategies. This role is pivotal in amplifying our brand's voice within the bioscience and health sectors, driving audience growth, and fostering meaningful interactions across key social platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in social media marketing, demonstrate exceptional creativity, and exhibit the ability to challenge conventional boundaries to deliver impactful campaigns that align with our mission of pioneering NAD+ science.
Core Expectations:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, affinity and engagement, tailored to the health and wellness audience.
- Manage day-to-day operations across major platforms, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Research, Scientific Affairs, Legal, Creative, Product Development) to integrate social media initiatives with broader company goals, ensure accuracy, and maintain brand consistency.
- Monitor trends in social media, bioscience, and health wellness to identify opportunities for innovative campaigns that push creative boundaries and differentiate our brand.
- Analyze metrics and KPIs (e.g., engagement rates, reach, conversions) using tools like Meltwater and Later Analyitcs as well as platform specific metrics in app.
- Build and engage online communities through interactive content, authentic storytelling, user-generated campaigns, and influencer partnerships relevant to the biotechnology field.
- Ensure all content adheres to regulatory standards in the bioscience industry, including FDA guidelines for health-related claims.
- Oversee the development of engaging, high-quality, and scientifically accurate social media content, including graphics, videos, animations, stories, and written posts.
- Stay abreast of emerging platforms and technologies to experiment with new formats, such as short-form video or AI generated content, to expand our digital footprint.
Qualifications and Success Factors:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social media marketing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns in competitive industries, ideally bioscience, health, or technology.
- Solid expertise across major social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, with proven ability to leverage each for targeted audience growth.
- Exceptional creativity and strategic thinking, with a demonstrated capacity to push through traditional boundaries to create bold, engaging content that resonates and drives results.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Meltwater and Later Analytics) and analytics software.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of crisis management and reputation handling on social channels.
- Develop a social community and drive its growth
- Experience managing multiple accounts and different platforms
Competencies & Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives suited to scientific and consumer audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with the bioscience or health and wellness industry is advantageous.
