At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) , and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

Join our team

We’re building tools that power professional communication for millions of small businesses. As a Senior UX Designer on the Productivity team, you’ll help shape thoughtful, reliable experiences for email and related tools that users depend on every day. Our space isn’t always flashy, but it’s foundational, requiring patience, curiosity, and a willingness to dig into technical complexity.

This role focuses on driving product activation, streamlining onboarding, simplifying settings and account management, improving email reliability and deliverability, and helping users get the most value out of their tools. You’ll work across both consumer and enterprise contexts, designing for different user types with varied needs.

The ideal candidate has a knack for making complexity feel simple, empathy for both solo entrepreneurs and IT administrators, and the curiosity to understand technical constraints to design intuitive solutions. If you enjoy solving nuanced problems and using data to drive design decisions, we’d love to have you on our fast-paced, collaborative team.

What you'll get to do...

  • Design thoughtful, resilient user experiences for email and productivity tools, focusing on product activation, onboarding, settings, account management, and deliverability. Your work will support a range of users, from solo entrepreneurs to enterprise administrators, by making complex systems feel intuitive and clear.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other designers to shape user flows that balance customer needs with technical constraints. You will bring a strong point of view while remaining open to iteration, feedback, and collaboration.
  • Lead and support experimentation efforts by designing for A/B and multivariate tests, analyzing results, and refining designs to improve user engagement and drive business outcomes. You will approach experimentation not just as a validation tool but as a continuous learning loop.
  • Contribute to design strategy and craft within and beyond your immediate team. You will help influence the broader direction of GoDaddy’s design systems and patterns, participating in focus groups and working groups that shape our visual language and interaction models.
  • Grow within a thriving design community surrounded by passionate, supportive, and talented colleagues. You will be encouraged to share ideas, mentor others, and bring your full self to a collaborative, feedback-rich environment.

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years of hands-on UX/UI design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design and visually compelling, user-centered work.
  • Ability to simplify complex systems through thoughtful interaction and visual design, with strong attention to detail and a focus on usability.
  • Proficiency in Figma and FigJam, with a collaborative mindset and fluency in modern design tools and processes.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, remote, or hybrid teams, contributing effectively alongside product managers, engineers, and content designers.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles, and a clear, confident communication style across stakeholders and teams.

You might also have...

  • Experience designing for productivity or communications tools.
  • Comfort navigating edge cases and infrastructure-heavy systems, with the ability to design resilient, scalable solutions.
  • A background in usability testing, user research, or product experimentation, using insights to inform and refine design decisions.
  • Familiarity with front-end development enables smoother collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience working in Agile or fast-paced product teams, with the flexibility to adapt and iterate quickly.

We've got your back...  We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
