A Day in the Life:

  • Partner directly with product owners and business users to uncover, clarify, and document application requirements for digital modernization initiatives.
  • Translate business needs and technical findings into clear user stories, workflow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and backlog documentation for software engineering teams.
  • Analyze API-driven integrations, including request and response flows, to understand how backend services support application functionality.
  • Review SQL queries to identify inputs, data relationships, and expected outputs, writing basic queries when needed to support requirements analysis.
  • Independently research existing functionality across Jira, Confluence, Figma, GitHub, and the live product to build context and surface informed questions.
  • Collaborate directly with developers to resolve technical ambiguity and update tickets with actionable requirements and clearly defined acceptance criteria.
  • Actively use AI tools, including Claude through our Anthropic partnership, to streamline tasks, improve the quality of your work, and share best practices with teammates while continuously seeking new ways to integrate AI into your everyday workflows
  • Partner with QA testers to establish functional test success criteria and guide business users through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Help establish consistent working conventions for requirements, tickets, and documentation while navigating an evolving environment without fully defined processes.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple Business Analysts, adapting to different approaches while maintaining alignment across shared application areas.
  • Apply experience from regulated or high-compliance environments to support thoughtful documentation, traceability, and delivery practices.

What it takes:

  • Availability to work Central Time hours to support collaboration with client and delivery teams
  • Consultative approach and problem solving skills to successfully align digital solutions with long-term business goals of the client
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance daily work, or a strong desire to do so, including a willingness to experiment, learn, and champion AI adoption within your role
  • Claude Certified Developer or Architect highly preferred; possible opportunity to obtain as a Sparq colleague
  • Commitment to understanding and exceeding client expectations
  • Ability to perform project oversight and execution of deliverables
  • Flexibility to adapt within a high-growth organization
