Plans and executes mid-sized avionics projects across engineering, operations, quality, and suppliers. Manages schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, technical reviews, documentation, and vendor relationships. Resolves complex issues, leads mitigation strategies, improves project management processes, trains team members on project tools, and drives cross-functional initiatives and decisions.
Plans and executes avionics projects developed internally or with suppliers. Collaborates with cross-functional teams from engineering, operations, and quality to define project plans, track milestones, and manage risks.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning for mid-sized projects; oversee execution and resolve moderate issues
- Own risk assessments and deliverable tracking for assigned projects; resolve complex issues independently
- Facilitate design reviews and resolve technical challenges collaboratively
- Develop comprehensive project documentation; proactively adjust schedules as needed
- Lead risk identification efforts; execute complex mitigation plans
- Optimize project management tool usage for team efficiency; train others on advanced features
- Lead resource planning for medium projects; resolve allocation conflicts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of electronic systems: boards, mechanical parts, cables, software
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Team-oriented work style
- 6-10 years experience in technical project management or related field
- Leads complex, multi-team projects independently
- Develops and executes strategic project initiatives

Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $112,000 - $127,000 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
