Harbor is seeking a Salesforce Developer to also be an Administrator to manage and enhance our Salesforce platform as a central CRM supporting sales, service delivery, and financial processes. This role is responsible for system governance, data integrity, automation, and supporting integrations with other enterprise systems to ensure accurate reporting, reliable forecasting, clean operational data, and scalable operations.

The role will act as a systems steward for the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds), overseeing platform health, user experience, automation standards, and roadmap execution. This position partners closely with Tech Enablement, Commercial Operations, Finance, Delivery Operations, GTM, Marketing, and external Salesforce development partners to manage enhancements, system stability, and ongoing platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Platform Ownership

  • Serve as the internal Salesforce Product Owner, overseeing development, and doing some new feature development, changes, and administration, as needed.
  • Manage system configuration, field structures, object relationships, and platform health.
  • Own the Salesforce data model and enforce data governance standards.
  • Maintain sandbox environments and coordinate deployments between sandbox and production.
  • Reduce technical debt, manage automation governance, and enforce Security and profile/role-based permissions.
  • Maintain documentation, release notes, and system communication for stakeholders.
  • Manage new Salesforce requests from stakeholders, clarify requirements, assist with documentation, and either oversee or perform development as needed.

User Support & Administration

  • Serve as the primary contact for Salesforce requests from internal teams.
  • Manage bulk data uploads, troubleshooting, and error resolution.
  • Maintain user roles, permissions, profiles, and license management.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of Salesforce users.
  • Monitor system usage and recommend workflow improvements.

Automation & System Enhancements

  • Gather and manage system requirements and coordinate implementation with internal teams and Salesforce development partners.
  • Coordinate cross-system workflows between Salesforce, Cloud Coach, NetSuite, Enterprise Lakehouse, and Enterprise Service Bus
  • Design and maintain automation using flows and guided processes to improve user experience and data capture.
  • Support release management, testing, and deployment.
  • Consolidate legacy automation and improve system reliability.

Data Governance & Reporting

  • Define and maintain GTM data contracts, including taxonomy, KPI definitions, and field ownership.
  • Maintain Salesforce field dictionaries and reporting documentation.
  • Follow and enforce change control processes for system updates and reporting changes.
  • Ensure data alignment between Salesforce, Power BI, and downstream systems.
  • Support accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account reporting.

Data Quality & Integration Oversight

  • Lead data quality initiatives and ongoing data maintenance.
  • Perform data audits and coordinate cleanup activities.
  • Define system-of-record boundaries across Enterprise Service Bus, Salesforce, Power BI, and NetSuite.
  • Ensure integration data aligns with governance standards.
Qualifications:

Required

  • 3–5 years of Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce platform experience.
  • Experience in Declarative Development (Click-based / No-code or Low-code) along with Programmatic Development using Apex (Code-based) and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience building and maintaining Salesforce Flows.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce integrations with other systems through Rest APIs and OAuth authentication.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data structures, automation, and reporting.
  • Experience managing sandbox environments and release processes.
  • Demonstrated experience improving data quality and governance.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into system requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Experience with forecasting and pipeline analytics.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
  • Exposure to Revenue Operations or GTM systems design
