Keeper is hiring a highly analytical Senior Sales Commission Analyst to join our Sales Commission team. This is a 100% remote position from select locations, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Role

As a Senior Sales Commission Analyst you will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of our global sales compensation programs. This role will partner closely with Sales, Finance, People Operations, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure commissions are calculated accurately, paid on time, and aligned with business objectives. 

You will help manage the full commission lifecycle—from plan setup and quota assignments through calculation, validation, reporting, and issue resolution. This position requires someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with complex data, compensation plans, and commission systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer monthly and quarterly sales commission and Variable Compensation Target (VCT) processes for a global sales organization, ensuring accurate and timely calculations and payments.
  • Create, maintain, and administer incentive compensation plans, including quotas, crediting rules, accelerators, SPIFFs, bonuses, and other plan components.
  • Manage commission calculations and quota adjustments for new hires, ramp periods, promotions, leaves of absence, terminations, and other employee changes.
  • Review and validate commission and VCT calculations, including NRR/GRR, bonuses, MBOs, FX calculations, and other incentive programs; investigate and resolve discrepancies, adjustments, and disputes.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Sales Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to validate quotas, employee eligibility, attainment, bookings, revenue, and commission results.
  • Support annual sales compensation plan design and implementation, including new commissionable roles, plan modeling, documentation, system configuration, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and reconciliations for commissions, quota attainment, commission spend, forecasting, trends, and plan effectiveness.
  • Audit Salesforce and Tableau data and maintain appropriate controls, reconciliations, and backup documentation to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and auditability of commission calculations.
  • Support global sales compensation requirements, including commissions across multiple currencies and FX rates.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve processes for specialized commission calculations, including expansion credits, ARR churn, MSP commissions, duplicate opportunities, and other complex compensation scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual commission processes and develop solutions using macros and other tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Create and maintain commission process documentation, standard operating procedures, checklists, and training materials, and serve as a subject matter expert on sales compensation processes and policies.
  • Communicate compensation plan changes, commission results, and other compensation information to Sales leaders, individual contributors, HR, Talent Acquisition, Sales Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase the accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and scalability of sales compensation operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions, financial analysis, revenue operations, or a related field. 
  • Experience supporting a sales organization, including working with multiple currencies and FX rates.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation concepts, including quotas, attainment, crediting, accelerators, rates, draws, splits, and clawbacks.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, conditional logic, data validation, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Experience working with commission or incentive compensation systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience with sales compensation plan design, modeling, or annual compensation planning.
  • Experience with VCT/variable compensation target processes, MBOs, SPIFFs, accelerators, or bonus programs.
  • Experience developing commission dashboards, forecasting, trend analysis, and compensation analytics.
  • Experience with process automation, macros, VBA, or other tools used to improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting a global sales organization, preferred.

7. Retention

We keep your data for 24 months from your last application activity, then delete or anonymize it.
