Job Duties and Responsibilities
EchoStar is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Registrar Services Manager to join our forward-thinking Innovation Department. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong domain experience (e.g., Tucows, GoDaddy) who can navigate the complexities of DNS, ICANN, and registry/registrar operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be skilled in designing and managing websites for DISH's portfolio of gTLDs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • ICANN and Registry Relationships:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with ICANN and Registry/Registrar Operators & Regulators
    • Advocate for DISH's interests and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
  • DNS Registry Management:
    • Manage and maintain rights as a DNS provider with ICANN for DISH's portfolio, including but not limited to .mobile, .phone, .data, and .blockbuster
    • Oversee the DNS business unit to ensure seamless operations and adherence to global best practices
  • Website Design and Management:
    • Design, develop, and manage websites for DISH's suite of gTLDs
    • Ensure that websites align with DISH's branding and provide a seamless user experience (UX).
    • Implement best practices for website performance, accessibility, and compliance with ICANN standards
  • Innovation and Collaboration:
    • Partner with internal teams to integrate DNS services into larger DISH initiatives
    • Identify and act on opportunities for growth within the DNS and registrar services space


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Web Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years in domain management or registrar/registry operations (e.g., Tucows, GoDaddy)
  • Proven experience with ICANN processes and DNS provider responsibilities
  • Strong portfolio showcasing the design and management of professional websites, particularly for gTLDs or related domains


Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of DNS infrastructure, ICANN policies, and global regulatory frameworks
  • Expertise in web design and management tools (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or custom CMS platforms)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year
