nCino Integration Gateway Presales Solution Architects are technical experts who partner with the sales team to help financial services customers understand and implement nCino Integration Gateway solutions. They are responsible for technical discovery, delivering product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), providing architectural recommendations, and translating customer business needs into technical integration solutions. These roles require a blend of deep technical knowledge in integration technologies, banking domain expertise, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.


 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Sales Partnership: Act as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle, working closely with Account Executives and the broader sales team to drive technical wins. 
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and existing banking technology landscape, including core banking systems, loan origination systems, and third-party applications. 
  • Solution Design: Design and present integration solutions that map to customer needs and showcase the value of nCino Integration Gateway in connecting nCino Bank Operating System with various banking systems and data sources. 
  • Technical Demonstrations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) that highlight the platform's capabilities, including pre-built connectors, data transformation, and orchestration features. 
  • Architectural Guidance: Provide architectural recommendations and create scalable, secure integration architectures that align with banking industry standards, compliance requirements, and customer IT strategies. 
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct technical workshops and provide technical guidance to PreSales teams, sales teams, and partners on integration best practices and nCino Integration Gateway capabilities. 
  • RFI/RFP Support: Lead technical responses to RFIs and RFPs, articulating integration strategies and demonstrating how nCino Integration Gateway addresses specific customer requirements. 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong hands-on experience with integration technologies including APIs (REST, SOAP), middleware platforms, and iPaaS solutions 
  • Understanding of data integration patterns, ETL processes, and message-based architectures 
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (SaaS, PaaS) and deployment models 
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and microservices architectures 
  • Working knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT, etc.) 
  • Python experience 
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate development 

Banking & Financial Services Knowledge 

  • Understanding core banking systems (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Temenos) and their integration requirements is a plus.  
  • Familiarity with financial services data standards and regulatory compliance requirements is a plus 
  • Knowledge of banking business processes including loan origination, deposit account opening, and customer onboarding is a plus. 

Soft Skills 

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging technical demonstrations to diverse audiences 
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with clients at all levels, from IT architects to C-level executives 
  • Strong communication abilities to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across sales, product, and delivery teams 
     

Business Acumen 

  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and ROI for financial services customers 
  • Understanding of customer pain points and the ability to position integration solutions as business enablers 
  • Capacity to align technical solutions with customer strategic objectives and digital transformation initiatives 
     

Problem-Solving & Adaptability 

  • Drive for results and the ability to navigate complex, enterprise-level sales cycles 
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing customer requirements and competitive dynamics 
  • Creative thinking to design innovative integration solutions that differentiate nCino 

Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles within enterprise software 
  • Hands-on integration implementation experience 
  • 5+ years of experience coding 
  • Proven experience building and delivering PoCs and technical demonstrations 
  • Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs with a track record of winning technical evaluations 
  • Background in financial services technology or banking software solutions (highly preferred) 
     

Preferred Certifications 

  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Developer 
  • Salesforce Platform certifications 
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) 
  • AWS, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, and any other integrations specific certifications 

Travel Requirements 

  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50% to customer sites and sales meetings
