We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations to drive execution across the Mainstream, Narrative, and New Experiences team at Netflix Games. This role will be central to establishing one cohesive operating model across the team. This role requires urgency to deliver a strong, impactful product slate to our members while driving measurable impact for Netflix Games, executing against the strategic vision for the vertical and ensuring alignment across multiple game studios, products, and cross-functional teams.

This role will ensure executional rigor across the Mainstream, Narrative, and New Experiences portfolio while creating space for innovation, creativity, and scalable impact. It reports directly to the VP overseeing the vertical and partners with key stakeholders across Business Development, Talent, Finance and Strategy, and the broader Product organization to deliver on vertical priorities efficiently and effectively.

In the near term, this role will focus on integrating the operating rhythms, processes, and reporting of the three newly combined teams, while delivering a diverse set of priorities across a highly matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute against transformational growth opportunities within the vertical's strategy. Operate as a trusted leader on high-priority projects, identifying and evaluating new business models, emerging technologies, and strategic partnerships to drive the vertical's long-term strategic vision.
  • Support the integration of the three newly combined teams by harmonizing processes, cadences, and reporting structures into one cohesive operating model for the vertical.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (BD, Product, Talent, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Strategy) to build business cases, secure buy-in, and operationalize key initiatives.
  • Lead the execution of strategic projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and success metrics are defined and met.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to the executive team, communicating complex insights and recommendations to inform high-level decision-making.
  • Partner with the Vertical VP on development of slate and roadmap strategy to ensure the right mix of games, teams, and investments across the team, while establishing robust frameworks and processes that guide projects through critical milestones and quality benchmarks.
  • Manage, prioritize, and curate agendas and topics that require timely decision-making and analysis; identify gaps, risks, or misalignments in strategic programs and work with stakeholders to correct course.
  • Synthesize delivery data, team inputs, and portfolio signals into the evolving vertical story that informs strategy, communications, and executive decision-making, while implementing tracking and reporting systems that maintain stakeholder transparency.
  • Identify opportunities and creatively problem-solve to address business development, resourcing, and product mix challenges by leveraging industry knowledge across first-party (1P), second-party (2P), and third-party (3P) landscapes, proactively proposing solutions from new deals to new roles and supporting deal execution from landing to implementation.
  • Drive strategy execution, and operational excellence for the vertical in partnership with the other gaming verticals and matrix teams, developing cohesive portfolio management and systems for continuous progress monitoring and resource optimization.
  • Prepare and oversee the creation of presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Step into cross-functional white space where the matrix organization lacks clear ownership and provide clear solves to expedite success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic operations, project/program management, or production leadership, ideally within game development, entertainment, or technology.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a matrixed organization, supporting a portfolio of products or teams.
  • Experience supporting or leading through organizational change (e.g., team integrations, reorgs) is a plus, given the recent formation of this vertical.
  • Strong grasp of game development processes and methodologies, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities and a knack for facilitating collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ideal Profile
  • Proven experience across cloud platforms and 1P/2P/3P partnerships.
  • Skilled at navigating complexity and ambiguity, particularly in newly combined or restructured organizations.
  • Strong operational execution and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to balance urgency with quality in delivery.
  • Culturally aligned with Netflix — curious, adaptable, and collaborative.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
