Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager will…

Ideal candidates are a resource to the team for strategic direction and guidance, as well as technical support and identification of areas for process improvement. Senior Managers contribute to the Client Accounting Service’s Portfolio Management team by identifying key issues and crafting proactive solutions. They are forward-thinking, logical, creative, process-driven, autonomous leaders that are not afraid to roll up their sleeves to help the team get the job done. They are able to execute strategy and be future thinking with close attention to detail and follow-through on projects. Senior Managers also give frequent feedback to both team members and clients and must lean into and navigate tough conversations in an effective, tactful manner. Additionally, candidates have a foundation in accounting and finance, including reporting key financial metrics and a foundational understanding of GAAP- many projects touch almost every aspect of a company’s operations, including corporate strategy, IT, marketing, sales, operations, and human resources. Senior Managers are expected to foster a culture of innovation by leveraging technology, automation, and AI-driven solutions to enhance operational performance, improve client experiences, and support scalable growth. Candidates are logical, creative, process-driven autonomous specialists responsible for designing and implementing key systems and processes that founders and leadership teams will rely upon to run their companies.   

 

 

Projects & Responsibilities Include: 

  • Analyzing, developing, and working with client teams to implement financial and operational infrastructure for clients in the outsourcing space 
  • Distilling technical or project management guidance efficiently and communicating effectively to staff and clients 
  • Developing and mentoring Sikich team members  
  • Managing client relationships and being a brand ambassador for Sikich
  • Keeping portfolio management leadership abreast of operational health (client issues, team development, etc.) and adequately presenting solutions or action plans in a proactive manner 
  • Designing and vetting solutions related to team or client issues, and executing through completion with minimal guidance or consensus-building 
  • Enhancing Sikich processes and ideating continuous improvement to enhance Sikich operational and functional maturity 
  • Preparing Sikich internal stakeholders ahead of semi-annual Partnership Reviews for assigned clients. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining sufficient operational awareness within assigned client portfolio through weekly and monthly interactions with project leads, and clients. 
  • Leverage emerging technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve operational efficiency, enhance client service delivery, identify process optimization opportunities, and drive innovation across client engagements and internal CAS operations.

  

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum 10 years of experience required 
  • Prior consulting experience with proven ability to manage multiple client service teams and client relationships 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (degrees focusing on accounting or finance preferred) 
  • Ability to achieve desired results by holding others accountable and leading teams 
  • Familiar with GAAP concepts and interpretation of guidance 
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with discussing technical concepts and distilling them into actionable steps for your team and/or clients 
  • Self-starter, creative problem solver, and thrives under limited supervision 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills 
  • Proven track record of improving financial and operational processes, preferably with growth-stage companies 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing working environment, pivoting with new priorities, communicating change effectively, and driving alignment in execution with your teams and clients 
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently under tight deadlines and pressure  
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, adopt, and utilize emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools, to enhance business processes, improve decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $142,588.25- $193,800.25-$245,012.25. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
