The Senior Information Technology Business Analyst position provides technology solutions to improve business processes and systems. This position will address systems needs of Finance including our Questica budget system and Oracle E-Business Suite system.

This position works closely with different IT functions and business users to gather, analyze, specify, validate, and implement the business needs of stakeholders. This position involves analysis of business practices, processes and problems and developing and implementing solutions which may involve process design, software development and policy procedural changes.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements, user needs, and system objectives.
  • Conduct business process analysis to identify challenges, improvement opportunities, and solutions involving technology, workflow enhancements, and policy or procedural changes.
  • Develop business cases, user requirement documents, functional specifications, and other system documentation to support application development and implementation.
  • Evaluate and validate proposed technology solutions to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs, organizational goals, and business processes.
  • Acts as the Project Manager, plans coordinators includes monitoring scope, budget and schedule.
  • Provide strategic guidance during systems planning, design, development, testing, and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.

Schedule: 9/80, Monday through Friday /Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm.


Hybrid: Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.


EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience


OR Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Information Technology Business Analyst III. 


Relevant Experience is defined as:  

Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering and documentation, process analysis and improvement, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and translating business needs into effective solutions.
