MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The primary job duties this position is responsible for achieving are listed in order of importance.

Position Summary:

To provide Decision Support to Senior Management in organizational-wide business and economic decision making Goals and Objectives. Also, ensuring that quality standards are set and maintained throughout the different areas of Revenue Cycle

Responsibilities:

• Develops, interprets, implements and provide ongoing support for financial reporting

• Performing Hospital Cost accounting analysis and update periodically to support program analysis and service line assessments

• Develops and maintains assigned databases and reports in Excel, Access, SQL and other platforms, for internal and external consulting

• Able to pull data and develop reports with minimal supervision or direction

• Maintaining current working knowledge of reimbursement principles and trends

• Providing decision support to facilitate sound financial assessments at the procedure, patient and department levels, including preparation of financial pro forma reports

• Collects / analyzes financial information and develop and maintain financial databases;

• Develop and recommend effective business improvement initiatives

• Track, trend and work with Revenue Cycle team for key indicators

• Coordinate revenue cycle analytics for key functions, utilizing available data, quantify expected revenue impact and other supporting decisions

• Liaison between Finance, Business Office & Managed Care departments

• Other duties as assigned by management

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education (Indicate minimum education or degree required.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field.

Preferred Education (Indicate preferred education or degree required.)

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications (Indicate minimum years of job experience, skills or abilities required for the job.)

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Knowledge of GAAP required and knowledge of IFRS, a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Access

• Experience writing SQL queries including joins, case statements (required)

• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, etc.)

• 2+ years of experience preferred working with data, reports and/or accounting

• Knowledge of healthcare finances, include hospital expenses, labor and revenue

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications (Indicate preferred years of job experience, skills or abilities required for the job.)

• N/A

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation (List any licensure or certification required and specify name of agency.)

• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card required (within 30 days of employment)

• Assault Response Competency (ARC) required (within 30 days of hire)
